School District 70 Secretary Treasurer, Jerry Linning, provided some great background information regarding the plans for the new ADSS building during our recent Networking Luncheon at the Barclay.

The Chamber of Commerce figures that it’s about time we held a “Be a Tourist In Your Own Town” event in the Alberni Valley. So, let’s do it June 26th through 29th.

Sometime in June, the World U 17 Hockey Challenge Host Committee will be issuing a volunteer call to help with this major international event coming to Port Alberni.

From our newly-installed board of directors, a couple of seasoned veterans and an enthusiastic rookie will be heading up a team to institute a Junior Achievement Program in the valley.
